Children Develop a YES I CAN indomitable spirit

Children’s Martial Arts Classes build
“…a sense of responsibility, a sense of commitment, a sense of pride…”

Why are more parents enrolling their children in martial arts classes?
There are many benefits to enrolling your child at Paradise Valley USA Martial Arts Phoenix. The study of martial arts is the only activity that brings together the energy of the mind, the body and the spirit.

Over and over, parents tell us about the surprising improvements they see in their children, in addition to self-defense skills. Self-discipline, more confidence, better listening – their children were capable of these lifeskills and more all along.

It’s the challenge of martial arts, the aim
for excellence, the positive role models and
the practice that brings out the best in children.

At USA Martial Arts PV, children learn 12 Ways to Defeat a Bully – Without Fighting! developed by Dr. Terrance Webster-Doyle.

Will your child learn to defend him or herself from our training? Absolutely yes. Not only will your child learn self-defense, you’ll see more confidence and more control. But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what parents say about our Black Belt Success System:

USA Martial Arts teaches Honor and Respect

Parent Testimonials

“USA Martial Arts is the best thing we’ve ever done for our boys.”
Dr. Tim & Cathy L ukavsky
Brian has improved very much since starting the program. He now makes his bed, brushes his teeth, and goes to bed on time without complaining. He even helps out around the house. Yes Ma’am and Yes Sir are a new part of his vocabulary. Thank you very much!”
-Mr. & Mrs. Leggett, Mother of Brian, Mesa

Since Daniel has been in your program, he has been a changed young man. He listens to his Mom and Dad, and he does his chores after asking him only once. He keeps his room in order, as well….He is a great student and was Student of The Month in September. He loves to come to Karate class and his mother and I still have a hard time getting used to being called Yes Sir and Yes Ma’am. We are very proud of him and we appreciate everything and everyone here who has touched his life for the positive.
-Mr. & Mrs. Mariotti, parents of Daniel

Nathen’s self-confidence has improved a great deal and he is overcoming his social fears. Just last weekend he climbed a wall over 60 feet tall on our family rock climbing day. He has never reached the top before. He was very proud but not boastful.
-Ms. Penny Medlock, mother of Nathen

Thank you for all you do for your students and community. Our experience with USA Martial Arts: I’d like to start by saying that Gaby has always been a great kid. She expressed an interest in the martial arts around the age of six. When she was eight, we enrolled her in the trial program at USA Martial Arts, which was conveniently located within the same facility that Gaby’s twin sister took gymnastics. Being a part of this organization improve Gaby’s discipline, her self esteem, her physical ability, she took on and developed leadership qualities, and has acquired an enormous amount of respect for herself and others. She has since acquired her Black Belt at the tender age of eleven. She has always been a kind person, but within the Leadership Program at USA Martial Arts, Gaby has really been able to display her ability to empathize and mentor the younger students. Watching her succeed has stimulated both my wife and I to set and achieve fitness goals for ourselves. In most cases, children learn from their parents, but in our case, we have learned about goal setting from Gaby. In closing, we feel as though Mr. Bravo, Master Nottingham and the whole USA Martial Arts family has more than delivered on all of their promises. We are a part of their family and we feel honored and blessed to say that they are a part of ours.

Introducing John Nottingham’s USA Martial Arts of Paradise Valley Arizona

John was always told he was too sick to become a Black Belt. But he was determined to overcome the odds and fulfill his dream of not only becoming a Black Belt but to earn the title of Master.

John grew up in a small Midwestern town where most people ended up working, but wanted to one day become and Black Belt and Instructor. There were only a couple of problems. But when he met a Korean Martial Arts Teacher who taught him to have an indomitable spirit, he changed his health, and his life.

When people say dreams don’t come true, tell them about John Nottingham. Sometimes a winner is a dreamer who just won’t quit. Phoenix Paradise Valley Martial Arts Builds Young Minds and Bodies

Children love learning at John Nottingham’s USA Martial Arts Scottsdale, AZ. Our martial arts programs are high-energy, fun and interactive.

The overarching goal of the Paradise Valley’s USA Martial Arts school is to build our student’s self esteem, wich we do by acknowledging, recognizing and rewarding not just our student’s accomplishments and successes, but their efforts as well.

Learning martial arts is a physical endeavor, involving all muscle groups to help develop a student’s physical fitness. But our emphasis goes far beyond just learning physical moves and martial arts techniques. At USA Martial Arts PV, we use martial arts as a mechanism to develop positive character and life-improvement skills in our students

Our martial arts Karate for Kids emphasis is on the personal-development aspects of martial arts, such as increasing self confidence, improving focus and concentration, developing self discipline, and optimizing physical fitness.

Life Lessons Developed Through Martial Arts Paradise Valley

Classes at Paradise Valley Martial Arts USA end with group discussions and role-playing exercises. We touch on life lessons and discuss alternate resolutions to some of the issues children face today. These issues are discussed in a non-threatening, proactive way.

Children pay close attention as we explore topics that include:

* Avoiding conflicts
* Dealing with bullies
* Mental self-defense
* Proper respect for adults
* Stranger awareness
* Respect for self and others
* Saying “no” to drugs and peer pressure

These valuable life lessons help our martial arts PV students understand the connection between what they learn in class and the real-world applications that make martial arts practical and insightful skills for school-age, and beyond.
