Not at all. Just like there are different kinds of cars, not all makes and models are the same. Not all instructors are the same. Not all styles of kickboxing are the same. When you try it you’ll find out just how different they are.

We teach what is referred to as “sports specific” skills, or real kickboxing techniques. Our instructors are authentic Black Belts with years of training and hard-won experience. This is very different from the local gym sending their aerobics instructor to a weekend “kickboxing” certification.

We also train with real kickboxing equipment such as boxing focus mits, shields, and heavy bags. We wear professional kick boxing gloves and teach a real skill from footwork, injury prevention warm ups, strength and conditioning, timing, and much more. We teach a skill as well as promote the physical benefits of kickboxing training.

I have don’t have any martial arts or kickboxing experience. Will I be able to do this?

Absolutely. As long as you are in good reasonable health to begin a vigorous exercise program and cleared by a physician, our program is designed to take you from beginner to the level you want. Our instructors are experts at taking you through the kickboxing basics step by step in a high energy, fun class format.

Our instructors have extensive experience in teaching individuals of all ages and backgrounds the step by step mechanics you’ll need to succeed and get into the best shape of your life. You can also opt in or out at any time without pressure or fear of embarrassment. We insist on a positive, encouraging environment and have people at all ages and stages of conditioning.

I don’t have flexibility and am out of shape. Do I need to get in shape before I start Kickboxing?

Not at all. If you keep that belief, you are not likely to ever start. If you have the will to show up and do the work, you will see amazing results – and faster than you might think. Your flexibility will build gradually over time. Kicking high is not important, plus we can have you modify any move to suit your individual needs. Kickboxing is hard work but we make it fun. You’ll meet lots of great men and women in class who were exactly like you once. They are sure to be a source of encouragement and inspiration!

When are Kickboxing Classes. Can I make it work for my schedule?

USA Martial Arts offers classes every night at prime time hours plus Saturday morning for your convenience. Where there is a will, there is a way for even the busiest of schedules.
